About Us

Welcome to the Blennerhassett Area Radio Control Club (BARCC) web site! BARCC invites you to join us in the wonderful hobby of radio controlled aircraft. The BARCC club is a non-profit organization that was started in 1985 to further the enjoyment of the hobby. The BARCC flying site is located 405 Carson Lane 212, Little Hocking, Ohio. You are invited to watch the models fly at any time.  BARCC sponsors several special events during the year.   Two key events that bring model aircraft pilots from other area clubs include a spring and fall fun-fly.

The Blennerhassett Area Radio Control Club is a chartered club of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and the International Miniature Aircraft Association.

Several radio control model airplane members in the Belpre & Marietta, OH area and Parkersburg & Vienna, WV area meet regularly to fly their models.

The BARCC club provides new members with a student pilot program in which certified instructors assist students in flying his/her aircraft. RC aircraft are not difficult to fly but do require some practice, and time, to develop the required skills.

The BARCC club has members whose specific RC aircraft interests range from small hand tossed planes to large gas powered aircraft. Skill levels range from student pilots flying with instructors to pilots who have been flying for over 25 years.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the BARCC club, or you would like to attend a general membership meeting, please feel free to do so! The meetings are held the first Saturday of each month at 12 noon at the Club Field.
